Mini Hankie Virgin Mary Christmas Poinsettia Shabby Chic Crazy Quilt Upcycled
Even though I am known for my art jewelry creations, I also LOVE to make art quilts, dolls and collectibles. Many of these items are made from vintage hankies and/or linens and repurposed into something new for someone to love. This is one of those items. This adorable cottage-style mini quilt is a one-of-a-kind, machine-sewn creation. I incorporated vintage hankies, lace, embellishments, trim, glass beads and buttons into this little piece of art. The focal point of this creation is a crocheted crinoline lady from long ago. The quilt measures approximately 16" square. Two plastic loops on the back of this quilt make it a breeze to hang. As the designer, I have signed the back of the quilt with my signature. This makes a lovely gift which can be passed down for generations to come. All hankies and/or linens used to make this quilt were gently washed prior to sewing to ensure there are no musty smells, etc. This comes from a non-smoking home. Please be sure to click on (enlarge) the pictures to see the detail and the beadwork on this project. The main colors of this quilt are red, white with a touch of green and gold. Hand washing instructions: Plug a sink and fill with approximately 1/4 cup detergent. Fill sink with cold water. Submerge the quilt and allow it to soak for up to 15 minutes. Gently swish the quilt in the water. Rinse the quilt with cold water until water runs clear. Line or towel dry.

This extra large Christmas themed rag quilt is large enough for two. Create lasting memories while snuggled with your sweetie watching the flames dance in the fireplace while Christmas carols play softly in the background. Measures 64 1/2" x 72" The front of the quilt is made up of cotton squares in many different patterns depicting holly, berries and poinsettias. The center layer is a thick soft white cotton flannel. The back of the quilt is made up of cotton fabric squares all in the same wonderful poinsettia pattern.

The quilt is made of quality cotton and the black cotton used in this quilt has a gold sparkle to it that really makes this quilt a showstopper. Measurements: approx. 52" x 65" The binding on this quilt was done by machine and has a Hobbs batting of 80/20 (cotton/polyester) This quilt will ship FREE in the continental USA, priority mail with signature receipt :) Wash instructions: cold setting on washer, tumble dry on low or line dry. For safety I would strongly advise to throw in 1 or 2 color catchers to make sure that the colors don't run in the washer. You will have years of joy out of this quilt.
