Christmas Trees Quilts Blankets

46 Mittens and Only One Matching Pair wall quilt
This was my fifth annual Christmas quilt. For this design, I wanted to use multiple borders of varying widths to frame the center tree motif. The end effect is reminiscent of Fair Isle sweaters -- a treasured Christmas present when I was growing up. The mismatched border adds an interactive feature with the title of the quilt challenging the viewer to find the one matching pair of mittens. This quilt won a third place ribbon at the 2009 Glendale (CA) Quilt Guild's quilt show and was featured in the June/July 2009 issue of "Quilters Newsletter" magazine. It measures 56"h x 52"w.

Christmas Tree of Life 2 wall quilt
This was my seventh annual Christmas quilt. Like my sixth Christmas quilt, the spirals in the branches are inspired by the Tree of Life paintings of Gustav Klimt. The spirals are bias tubes appliqued on to the background. This quilt won a blue ribbon at the 2011 Glendale (CA) Quilt Guild's quilt show and the pattern was published in a special magazine issue, "Quilters Newsletter Presents Best Christmas Quilts" (2012). It measures 49" h x 42" w.

Christmas Surprises wall quilt
The eleventh in my series of annual Christmas card quilts, this quilt features a Christmas tree with 50 ornaments, a gold & silver star and gold & silver garlands on it. There are another 58 ornaments in the quilt's border. No two ornaments on the quilt are alike and they feature gifts -- including toys and sports equipment -- and holiday motifs. This quilt won a blue ribbon at the 2015 Glendale (CA) Quilt Guild's quilt show and was featured in the August/September 2015 issue of Quilters Newsletter magazine. It measures 60"h x 57"w.

Oh Christmas Tree wall quilt
This was my third annual Christmas quilt. The kids in the border are inspired by the designs of quilter Lisa Boyer. It measures 33-1/2" square. This quilt is included in four Etsy treasuries: "Quilted Treasures"

And Presents 'Round the Tree wall quilt
This was my first Christmas quilt and began the tradition of me making a Christmas quilt each year to be featured as the art work on my Christmas cards. It is inspired by the designs of Australian quilter Jan Mullen. Not only are there presents in the border, but there are even more (somewhat invisible) in the quilting of the main portion of the quilt. It measures 54" square.

Christmas Trees
42 inches wide by 53 inches long; in plaids Handmade item Material: high quality cotton fabric

Dancing Trees wall quilt
This was my fourth annual Christmas quilt. My desire when designing the quilt was to feature Christmas trees in a kaleidoscopic pattern. And to add to the challenge, I avoided using any overtly Christmas-themed fabrics. This quilt received a blue ribbon in the 2008 Glendale (CA) Quilt Guild quilt show. It was accepted into the "Country Living Classics" quilt collection, sponsored by "Country Living" magazine, and went on a national tour beginning at the 2008 Fall International Quilt Festival in Houston. And it was published in the December 2009/January 2010 issue of "Quilters Newsletter" magazine. It measures 48" square.

CHRISTMAS QUILT - Santa Baby - Distinctive, Handcrafted 85" x 85" Quilt - Elegant Black & White with Touches of Deep Purple
SANTA BABY is the finished stunning success. Not only is the front unique and beautiful, but the back of this quilt is just as stunning (Picture #4). The longarm quilter, Juli Keiny, really out did herself as she applied the stitch designs I had drawn for her. The center blocks on the front and back lineup perfectly and the stitching design is just lovely. This quilt is definitely not for everyone, but if you love cutting edge, unique decorations for your home at Holiday time, this is for you.
